Dr. Doig has been a full time Associate Professor at Five Towns College and currently is an adjunct Associate Professor in an interdisciplinary capacity, teaching both music and business courses.
David Doig is a signed recording artist with Musea Records. “The Bridge” recording with the progressive rock group Cathedral earned accolades as one of the top 20 progressive recordings released in 2007 receiving rave reviews from Metal Hammer Magazine and many others, surpassing releases from such legendary performers such as David Gilmore of Pink Floyd and many other recognized established performers in this genre. Doctor Doig’ s ground breaking “Solo Music for Acoustic Guitar” released in 2006 redefined what a Solo Acoustic guitar could do as far as combining Classical Guitar technique with elements of improvisation within a solo guitar context.
