Product Description

Enjoying world wide acclaim as both performer and composer with Billy Idol, Steve Stevens is always in demand for his jaw dropping guitar work and ability to craft truly great pieces of music. Steve is equally respected as a solo artist winning a Grammy for the Top Gun theme and alongside his own releases has played for artists as varied as Vince Neil, Robert Palmer, Michael Jackson and Juno Reactor. It’ll come as no surprise then that a pickup bearing the Steve Stevens signature will be synonymous with tone AND style. Scatterwound with vintage plain enamel wire and powered by an unpolished Alnico V magnet, the Rebel Yell humbucker has great midrange presence and power whilst retaining the ability to clean up as the volume is rolled back. A true ‘classic’ rock tone with the versatility of progressive modern performance, reproducing the trademark Steve Stevens tone has been no mean feat. As Steve says: ‘The Rebel Yell just growls with an even harmonic richness that I never hear in other pickups. It’s so full of clear bottom and perfect pick attack. These pickups are in a whole other league-they’re the real deal!’ For style, substance and tone the Steve Stevens signature is the bottom line. Magnet: Alnico V DC: 14.45K Bridge, 8.3K Neck

  1. Exactly What the Doctor ordered 5 Star Review

I've used Bareknuckle p/u's in other guitars and have never been disappointed. I installed these in my 2009 Les Paul and they sound much better than the original burst buckers that came with the guitar. Still has sparkle in the highs but a little more mid's and focused bottom. The band I am in plays drop tunings, standard tunings, blues, and rock they sound great on all of them.
